About Jason C. Newman
Jason has over 15 years of experience working with closely held businesses and their owners to understand and overcome the unique challenges they face on a daily basis. He is an expert in financial statement preparation for a broad base of industries including retail dealer services, professional services, real estate, construction, manufacturing, retail, and financial services. Jason also has a strong understanding of the accounting processes and people within a business organization, often collaborating with management to improve the accuracy of financial reporting. His hands-on style with owners and client management results in a partnership, instead of a mere provision of service.
Jason works with clients to understand ever-changing accounting principles and to implement practical solutions relevant to their business and industry. His expertise lies in the completion of audits, reviews, and compilations in a manner which provides practical business advice to the organization, not simply to fulfill internal or external requirements. In addition to assurance service expertise, Jason also provides consultation on business processes, employee benefit plans, internal controls, operations analysis, and specific engagements such as business valuations, agreed-upon procedures, forensic accounting, and litigation support, specifically tailored to address owner, management, or business needs.
Jason earned a double major, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in both Accounting and Management Information Systems from Western Washington University.
Jason is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and The Western Washington University Alumni Association.
Jason enjoys walks through thick rough, wooded areas, and sand traps - anywhere but a fairway, in search of a little white ball, preferably his own. When he isn’t on the golf course he also enjoys travel, technology, playing cards with friends, and spending time with family.
